Today was the first day back to the gym for a little while. I took some time off for a not very serious injury and then got sick for a bit. I was soooo excited to be back today and (like anyone who's had to take time off for a while) I just really really needed and was ready to do something! Holy crap everything was so heavy lol and it felt even heavier because I kept thinking that way! "Holy crap this is the heaviest weight ever, why do these baby weights feel so damn heavy....oh my god the next set is gonna suck. I have zero strength today." So yes, thinking this way, the next set did suck, and yes I ended up feeling like the weakest person ever! I forgot for a second that I am a little stronger than I'm letting myself be, even with the post break "baby weights" lol, and the sets could have probably sucked a little bit less if I stopped telling myself how crappy they were gonna be! |
